Bellambi Point has a huge dog beach and we go regularly. Jack loves to run himself ragged and play with all his dog-friends. P & I walk the beach and gaze into rock pools spying fish, an occasional octopus and a multitude of algae.
When the tide is out many flat rocks surface covered with sand deposits, small crustaceans and damp seaweed, awaiting the next incoming tide. Walking slowly over these, looking down at the amazing shapes, cuts, grooves and hollows trying to understand what force of nature created these patterns is one of my favourite parts of the trip, and the camera gets a good workout.
