Print 1: Recent sketchbook work (during assignment 3)

Print1-Sketch30Using the design from project 8 as my start point continued to develop the concept.   I ‘drew’ the outlined shape with a glue gun on to paper.  Hand-dyed fabric was inserted in some areas and metallic wax was applied to the glue and other open areas.  On the right is another glue shape I worked along a similar theme.

Print1-Sketch35Resource material for project 10.

Print1-Sketch36A further look at the design with a line separating the water from the land.  Exploring three layer colour schemes.

Print1-Sketch37I considered using dogs as a print subject but they take too long to draw well.  If I could only simplify…….

I’ve one or two other things to go into my sketchbook and will post these later.
