Following the progress of a bushfire as it advances on my home.
110gsm cartridge paper. Fire from the valley behind finally reaching the brow of the hill and enveloping the skyline tree growth.
110gsm cartridge paper. Fire advancing across the ridge towards us. Many trees and much undergrowth devastation, but small pockets of green still remain.
185gsm smooth watercolour paper. A change in wind direction saves us and, as volunteer firefighters, we are left to put out the spot fires and search for injured wildlife.
Techniques include much of what was used in my self-portraits. However much more textural line work was done here to indicate trees & foliage.
wow, these have worked very well. I was going to pick a favourite, but I like them all.
Thanks Jane. I’m slow but getting there.
