Playing with printing

Although I’ve finished the screen printing assignment I’ve still been doing a bit for my own enjoyment.

Print 1String resist.

Print 1 backString resist back (which I particularly like).

Print 2Gold printed base with yellow & orange overlay using shredded paper resist.

Print 3Patterned base fabric, dirty screen (red paint), extended turquoise and talcum powder resist.

Print 4 and 5Left: Cold wax drawn on screen, grey and silver paint.  Right: Wax crayon rubbing on screen over wood block, pink and silver paint.

Print 6

Left:  Small stencil temporarily adhered to back of screen.  The squeegee was pulled partly along the length of the screen using a mix of colours and then reversed a little, lifted, repositioned and the pull was continued.  Hence the pattern on the top half of the print.
