Project 4 – Stage 3 Supplementary

Back in January when I was working on my designs I speculated what this design would look like extended out and made into an all over swirl.

Having now completed my Photoshop course I have taken this piece and repeated it several times, rotating and adjoining it into a large overall pattern.

Whilst doing this I also played with the colour.  These aren’t necessarily the colours I would choose but it was a good way to try out some Photoshop CS5 options.  I like the way the design has come out and it’s not at all as I expected.  My original thought was for a dress fabric, and it would still work using pastel colours, but I can also see the pattern enlarged greatly and used in furnishings, such as quilt cover fabric.
